Fullscreen? Not fullscreen? With dock and window Bar? So many settings now and it (for me) is leading to so many extra little problems that it is starting to be more of a pain then a simple click of a couple buttons.I always build all three platforms from a Windows 10 machine (5.6.) and then would test them on extra iMacs and Linux machines I had around the office. But the linux and Mac customers seem to have way more problems and I spend a lot of time working on them when I make 80% of my sales on Windows machines.I have never had many problems at all in the windows builds were the game does not start or close down properly.but in Mac and Linux it seems to be littered with them. I just dont get much gruff about bugs from Windows users.

Unity makes the process relatively easy/simple. Or an I completely off here?I would love to hear others experiences with this and if you are having the same issues.If you're dealing with Unity, it likely is worth the extra effort. The extra work that it entails is not working out to be worth it. (a Non Driving game) I think I am not going to do a Mac or Linux version and just see how it goes. So that could be a lot of the problems as well.For my next game.

A decent Mac Mini for development should run you around $700, a little less if you go for a lower-end or refurbished older model. Good will now can translate into sales later.Do a little analysis of costs, and weigh that against potential benefits. Seeing their platforms get support always engenders good will, even if it doesn't translate directly into sales. Mac and Linux users have historically been snubbed by major game developers. There is also a certain prestige in supporting multiple platforms, especially for smaller indie games. The bigger your sales, the worse that 12% is going to seem.

It's extra trouble, but I personally feel it's worth it. And any number of flavors of Linux can be had for no money.
